I took the June LSAT and I still haven't submitted my writing sample! I put so much focus on the multiple choice exam that I didn't even give thought to the writing portion. Now I have questions and I really need to get this done. For instance, do you need to actually complete the entire essay? I struggle with the time constraints so I'm not confident I can draft a whole quality essay in less than an hour. Also does it have to be several paragraphs long? I've read some example submission and they seem way too long to convey simple thoughts or ideas. Help please!!!

Hi Shanta! For your argumentative writing, try to focus on quality over quantity. That is, since the essay is timed, try to focus on making 2 or 3 short but clear supporting arguments. A great writing sample will have a strong structure and all the necessary components of an essay - an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion - so make it a priority to finish the whole thing. You can always go back to add more detail if you have extra time at the end!
Another helpful feature is that you can take multiple practice essays before your real essay. Take advantage of this! Doing practice essays will help you familiarize yourself with the layout of the argumentative writing interface, and it will also help you gauge how much time you can dedicate to a supporting argument before you need to move on to the next one (or to wrapping up with your conclusion).
