It depends on what you're having trouble with, but: I find that for me, slowing down and really focusing on the passage helps the most. For example, if I read something I don't get, I refuse to move forward until I understand it. this helps for me because by front loading with the passage, I tend to bank a large amount of time by blazing though questions. Most RC question types imo are simply MBT, inference, and citation style questions.
doing untimed drills with RC helped my progress. the timer makes me prone to just guess and move on, which wasn't helping me identify the gaps in my understanding. and reading nonfiction in my spare time
one thing that’s really important and should be law when doing RC is that every answer choice should be stated or at least referenced in the passage. The right answer is the one the passage supports. Unless the question is asking what the author may “agree with, etc.” which may lead to some inference/assumption, regardless the best answer is directly supported in the passage.
RC is significantly holding me back. It's honestly kind of funny. Any advice helps!

untimed drills? Get to know the passage types and subjects? Is it specific questions?
