😊 Happy

Progress

Been at this studying thing for almost a year and finally seeing progress now that I've slowed myself down and started doing untimed. I think timing will always be an issue for me, but hopefully less big of a deal come November.

Unless you have exemption to remove the experimental they say you really need to be putting in the extra reps to build that endurance stamina.. but then again you did get -2 in the last section so there isn't any signs of fatigue. It is really amazing to see so much green, with only a handful of questions wrong not have a higher score, I would have thought it was over 170.

Can you provide more information as to your baseline:

What was your previous Prep Test range before going to write the official LSAT?

Were you always stronger in RC than LR?

How far have your section scores improved since beginning from (-x LR, -x RC) to the current (-4.5LR, -2RC)?

@NoNamed92 Out of the dozens of PTs I have completed only my last 2 have no had the extra section on them, and that was just due to how busy my days have been that I knew I would be struggling to finish them during the same week.

The analytics are funny sometimes. I completed one BR with only 1 question wrong and my score for that was only a low 170s. It says that is based on others as well, so I'm assuming that is why it was a 166.

Before I took my last LSAT my PTs were consistently in the low to mid 150s with a few high 150s and low 160s tossed in there. But I always did timed test. Since my score still isn't where I'd like it, I'm trying a different approach. While timing is still an issue for me I have decided to, for at least a couple months, switch to untimed practice and testing. I am testing again in November so I will go back to timed in September some time.

When I first began studying I was stronger in RC by far. Now I am definitely stronger in LR. In the beginning I was averaging around -12LR and -9RC, with timed constraints I now average around -6/7LR and -6RC.

I definitely notice that I am a person who panics. Which is why I am trying the untimed right now so my body can relax while testing and hopefully that will become my norm. I however do not let myself take as long as I like when it comes to LR. I try to keep my timing near the normal timing as much as possible and let all the time in the world be for when I do my BR.

Amazing! Any RC advice? I always run out of time, any tips for managing time or training RC?

@vanboss unfortunately I have the exact same issue. This was untimed. With timed I usually get around 7 wrong because of the timing. I have a very hard time finishing before time is up. I’m working untimed right now trying to increase my speed without the worry.

@APBookninja Yeah, same issue for me. As soon as I am aware that the clock is ticking, my mind can't focus on the passage. Good luck!

@vanboss Yes, I can't count how many times I have had to reread question prompts or sometimes even whole paragraphs because I'm so stressed that nothing is staying in my brain and I have no clue what I just read. I never had this issue in the past so I'm just assuming its due to brain fog since I have a horrible sleeping pattern. Good luck to you as well!
