Hello! I just got approved for the August retest exam, but I am having some conflicting feelings about it.
Has anyone taken a retest in-person before? Did it go smoothly and just the same as the real test day? Did the exam feel comparatively similar to the original test?
It was my first time testing in person, and I was definitely really nervous but felt relatively confident for most of the exam. For context, I am also scheduled for September and am aiming for a 174. I don't think that I got 170+ on August, but I am a bit anxious about having a worse experience on the retest day that will either shoot my confidence for September or make me regret my decision. I'm also a bit nervous because the closest location that the retest will be administered is at a different Prometric location that is slightly further away (and has awful Google reviews...).
I would really appreciate any insight on those who have had in-person retesting done! I know the test probably won't necessarily be harder or unfair, and that this could be a really great chance for me to take the exam under better circumstances! But any and all thoughts about retesting are welcome.

Hi @haena! I had to retest in person for January this year (first time in person ever), and it was a pretty smooth process for me. I also scored the highest I ever had in both practice and official. It is similar to the original test. Hoping for the best for you!

question, when reset exams happen, does it count as another attempt? in your case will the reset be considered as a second attempt? would that affect the strength of the application when applying to law school? just curious
@DulasiTennakoon No, from what I understand it will not be counted as a second attempt! It will appear as an August administration attempt, voiding the original score. It will also not count towards your lifetime attempts.
