Hi! I am currently looking for a tutor as my self studying is a slow progression. I have recently broke into the low 160s in PT, but still dealing with dips in scores here and there. I am hoping to take October LSAT and am set to take September (given I don't withdraw). Took the August LSAT and was 12 points below my most recent PT. My goal score is 165-170, would love any advice or tutor references!

    Hi Victoria.

I have been tutoring for the LSAT and related exams for over 15 years and I can definitely help you!

I would start by digging into your PT data and recent work to determine exactly what is producing the score fluctuations and why your practice-test performance did not carry over to the August exam.

We would want to identify whether the lost points are concentrated in a particular section, specific question types or concepts, certain portions of the test, or a particular part of your process. That analysis should reveal whether the breakdown involves reading and controlling the passage, framing what the correct answer must accomplish, evaluating the answer choices, managing time, committing to decisions, or some combination of these factors.

Once we locate the breakdown, we can go directly to correcting the specific mechanics involved and making your process more controlled and repeatable under timed and official testing conditions. That analysis should also help clarify whether taking September makes sense and what we would need to accomplish to put you in position for your 165–170 goal in October.

Feel free to message me if you would like to discuss your recent results and how we could approach the next several weeks. Best of luck to you either way!

    Scott

    Hi, tutor here!

I offer one-on-one sessions along with a free consultation where we can go over your current score and goals. I was admitted to the bar in 2025 and have been tutoring since 2020. I’ve helped multiple students reach 180 and many others into the 170s, and I’d love to help you get there too.
