Hey y’all! Long story short I took the LSAT two times during my senior year of college. The first time scoring a 149 and the second time scoring a 152. I was also a late applicant applying February 1st last year and didn’t have much luck. I know my LSAT scores are not great and I applied very late last year which had a big effect most likely on my outcomes.
I am retaking the LSAT this November after taking a long break to study. I have a 3.8 GPA and I plan on applying for in this cycle by December 1st. My biggest worry is that if my November LSAT score isn’t a major improvement then applying in December will once again, give me the same outcomes as last year because I feel like December is late in the application cycle compared to a lot of people I know who are applying in October.
With a 3.8 GPA and a good amount of work experience from internships at law firms and police departments throughout undergrad, and my gap year this year, working in the corporate world, do we think December will still give me a good chance even if I don’t see a major improvement in my LSAT?

There are going to be a lot of variables in there, @Madisonb2, not least of which being what kind of schools you're targeting. But let's put this in different terms. If you eventually want to do this, what are you going to have to do now in order to put yourself in the best position to do this come December? Given that the November LSAT is two months away, not only do you need to do your LSAT prep, but you should also get your app materials into a good position in the next few weeks. That would then at least put you in a position in late-November/early-December to apply to schools if you want to. Emphasis on those last few words! Because you can at least then assess the situation based on what's happening at the time rather than what we project to happen (and what we're projecting is for apps to go up again this year...).
