One of my applications offers an optional supplemental statement to highlight a trait, strength, or lived experience not immediately visible elsewhere in my application.

Most of my significant experiences are already reflected in my resume, but my experience with learning disabilities is not. I am considering writing about how overcoming them shaped my self-advocacy and perspective, but I worry it may sound too similar to an addendum. Do you think this would be a worthwhile topic? Also, what types of experiences do applicants typically discuss in statements like these? Thanks!
