I wanted to make this post as a reminder to myself that I need to stop comparing my scores to others. When I started studying using 7sage, everyone was telling me about their diagnostic being high 150s or low 160s, that wasn't my reality. My reality was a 138 for my first PT and it was incredibly discouraging, but I really wanted to prove myself wrong, that I'm not bound to stay at this score.
Here I am today, scoring in the 150s and getting closer to my goal score (165) week by week. The more exposed I am to LSAT questions and readings, the more I started recognizing the same repeating patterns. The key is consistency: I dropped the studying 3-4 hours a day to 1-2h a day, and my comprehension and pattern recognition became sharper.
I am by no means an expert at this test (yet), but 4 months ago I was in the high 130s, and after using 7sage everyday, I learned new methods of studying, how to tackle question types, and how to recognize familiar patterns.
Please feel free to ask me any questions if you ever found yourself in this situation, I hope that my next post on scoring a 165 happens soon!

Wow, that's awesome! My diagnostic was also in the high 130s. I'm still struggling to up my score to hopefully high 150s/160s. Do you have any advice on what to do and what study techniques you specifically implemented?
@gurace I think the hardest part of starting in 130s was motivation. It really felt like a steep climb. What I did was focus on accuracy: I did 5 question drills (ranging from easiest to medium difficulty) untimed until I got all 5 right, then I’d move to 10 questions untimed. Once I felt that I’ve been getting 10 questions right (3-5 times in a row) that’s when I moved to timed drills at 150% and so on. In sum, my biggest game changer was focusing on accuracy rather than getting as many questions done!
@Khaliddd Motivation is quite tough haha! Thank you for the response and good luck!
I too had a low diagnostic score and now am very close to my 162 goal score after 3 months! You got this !!
@3615G We’re in the same boat, you got this too!
You absolutely got this, and you should be so proud of your progress. -5 on LR is serious business! Well done, celebrate yourself amply and good luck on that 16mid!
This is awesome! Keep it up 😊
Woah, good on you.. I started at a 138 diagnostic, and I am in the 152 range. I have been studying since the end of June. Prepping for the November test.
@Jdflmmns The only way is up, you got this! I’m taking the November test as well!
