I’m not sure if 1-1 tutoring is right for me but I’m definitely willing to try.
I’m finishing up my undergrad a bit early and taking a year off to study for the LSAT. I did a very small amount of lowkey studying in 2024 and 2025, then started to get more serious in late 2025 and 2026. My (untimed) diagnostic was a 152. I then, without any real studying, took another and got a 158 and then a 160, which motivated me to study more. However, since then, I have never gotten past a 163.
That being said, I have not dedicated enough time to it as I think it deserves. I could barely give it 30 mins of meaningful study every other day while in school. I started to get extremely discouraged. Since May/June I’ve been on a study break while working full time over summer. I start school again next week. However, it’s my last quarter and it should be relatively chill. I think I’m ready to study again. I really would like to apply next cycle, so I think that means I should start studying now, aiming to be DONE with the LSAT by next June. I’d like to speak with a tutor and see if this is realistic. Some recent data: my last (merged) test was a 161; a few of the most recent LR: sections 18/25, 21/26, 19/25, 17/26; a few of the most recent RC: 19/26, 15/27, 17/26, 20/26. For those I used the LSAT Demon method (aka only answer the questions you have time for, so for most of those, I answered either the amount I got right or a few questions more than that, so I range getting between 1 and 5 wrong for the amount that I answer).
I’m a first generation law student. I’m not too worried about money since the LSAT is so important.

My thought is that you could most benefit by creating a complete personalized game plan that preserves everything you are already doing correctly while identifying where Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension require closer analysis and deeper work.
For LR, we would isolate whether points are being lost through passage control, reasoning-to-conclusion analysis, particular question types, answer preparation, final-choice evaluation, and/or timing. We would then apply targeted techniques and drills to the specific breakdowns we uncover.
