Hi! I am in need of some advice, on one hand I'm very excited about my score because I've been killing myself the past couple years to get this score but on the other hand, I just realized that my score still might not be good enough for some schools. I searched up GW's entering class profile and their LSAT median is a 170. GW is one of my top schools because I'm already in the area and are splitter friendly.
September was my 4th time taking the test and I'm a bit drained but I feel like I have no choice but to retake because of my GPA. Would I still have a good chance at getting into GW if my LSAT is at their median or do I need to be at their 75th?

First things first, congrats on hitting that 170! Way to go!
Second things second, while we know what GW did this past year, we don't know what they'll do this upcoming year. For example, if we knew that they were going to aim for a 171 median, then the advice would be pretty clear! But that's an unknown.
But to your actual question, being at a 75th percentile versus a median is rarely an "admissions" matter because both scores would help my school to achieve our goals. Really, this is more a "merit scholarship" matter since schools usually provide more money to folks with scores at the 75th percentile vs the median (and assuming the same GPA in both cases).
We also have the issue of timing. You didn't mention the October test, nor registering for November. So now we're looking at the January test. Would it be better to apply in the coming weeks with a 170 (at their median this year) or take a shot in January to add a few more points? If I were in your shoes and if I was "a bit drained" from the LSAT, I think I'd get working on my app materials and would just be sure to apply to some safety schools in case GW ends up aiming higher.
