I’m in a dilemma where I didn’t perform as I thought I would on the September LSAT. I wanted to apply by October, and I am also registered to take the October LSAT next week. My situation now is if I register for the January LSAT and hold off on submitting my applications until January scores come out. I’m worried that January might be too late to apply to schools, but would rather apply with a score that would give me a chance of getting in. Opinions on when I should submit?

I might consider November if you are trying to apply this cycle which the deadline is today. But, you can still do January, it's not the ideal time but if your LSAT score is good, you should be good!
