Curious if I should literally list every school I am applying to. Should I just list schools around the same ranking and geographic region? I do not like this question.

I cant find the exact page but 7Sage somewhere advises listing 5 or 6 schools in alphabetical order in which your school is not an outlier: similar ranking, not the only one not in NYC, etc
Just verifying from the admissions perspective what folks have already said - just give a handful of schools (5-10) that make sense if you're also applying to this school. So if it's Fordham for example, list the other schools you're applying to in NYC or the NYC/Philly/Boston corridor.
Thank you!
Also wondering about this! Especially for safeties if they see they are the lowest ranked school on my list
the advice i've heard in the past is to put schools with attributes in common with the school you're applying to (region, prestige etc.) i think something like region or access to a certain city would be great for a safety school because it shows them you have a reason to want to attend! (take this with a grain of salt since i'm also just applying this year and absolutely not an admissions expert!) :)
