I’ve completed my personal statement, but I’ve noticed some school indicate on their application that they want to know “why you would be a good fit for x school of law” or “why are you applying to x school of law” within their personal statement instructions. Are we supposed to be writing alternate versions of our personal statement that are tailored to be more school-specific? I was thinking of just adding a paragraph on with how my statement material relates to the specific school and their values/offerings. Is anyone else encountering this??

For the ones that specifically ask for it, I did what you mentioned--added a paragraph or two about how my trajectory relates to their school

I mean unless you feel like you have different reasons for each school, I would not. There are supplementals that can provide more room for you to expand if you feel like it, which are encouraged. However, all law schools want you to convince them why you belong at their school. I am not sure the length of your statement now, if adding the paragraph works then you can certainly add it, but try not to overthink! Skills that make you good at one school certainly can be skills that make you a strong student at another school.
