Hi!

I have a 3.57 GPA from a good rigorous undergrad and I am consistently scoring 165 on my practice tests, I take the test in November, I am really hoping to get the score up.

I am not expecting any miracles of getting into top schools with my GPA, and I want to be realistic but what are my chances of getting in to any schools if I applied this cycle?

I don’t have any strong law experience or extracurriculars, but I do have strong essays and great letters of recommendation.

By my best guess-timate, about 150 of the 200ish American law schools just enrolled a 1L class with a median LSAT of a 165 or lower. So just reducing everything down to stats, you would have a "statistical foot in the door" for roughly 75% of the law schools in the United States. The key for you is going to be whether you feel like those are the kinds of schools that you'd like to attend based on their locations, job outcomes, and all that. But if the general question is "do I have a chance of being admitted to 'any schools' with a 3.57/165?" the answer is "yup!"

    I hope that helps!

I would recommend looking at the admissions chance tool! I think there is always a chance, but that can help you compare yourself to applicants who had similar stats when applying. Especially for the schools on your profile. I think that can give you a realistic comparison to the admitted class in general, it won't account for a essay or LOR, but def helps imo.
