Hi! Does anyone know if there are specific (or unspoken) requirements for resume margins? I saw 7sage emphasizes 1-inch margins, but most schools don't have any explicit requirements beyond page count. I've also heard it has to be within a certain range for some word processors, but I'm not sure what that range is exactly. Anyone have a good rule of thumb? My resume right now would not fit everything if I used 1-inch margins.

I think it's fine to use either 1" margins or to use the "narrow margins" setting in Word. Either is fine! (And I unfortunately don't know how to do this off the top of my head in Google Docs - I'm a Word person....)
What I would encourage you NOT to do is try to adjust your settings manually. For example: "Oh, let me move the margin on this line a smidge further to the left. OK, for this next line, I'm going to shift that right margin just a touch." That's how things get weird and out of whack fast.
