Hello!, I am curious if anyone knows how reporting academic probation should work. I attended community college a decade ago so I very faintly recall having an academic probation for one or two semesters (due to so some personal issues at that time). However both on my official transcript and unofficial transcript from the school, there is no mention of it. Should I reach out to my old community college and if they don't have it in their records but I somehow have a memory of it, should I still include a character and fitness statement for it? I have some bad grades that I was going to explain in the GPA addendum but I don't want universities to think I intentionally hid anything.

The key is “did the event happen.” It doesn’t matter if it’s still in your records - if you were placed on probation, that requires answering the CF question in the affirmative and providing an explanation.
As long as you’re reasonably confident that you were on probation, I’d err on the side of reporting. This won’t negatively effect your chances of admission and it’s better to be a smidge more forthcoming than not!
