For the past month, my LR has been a weakness and my RC has been a strength. I went from averaging -4 on LR to -2. My RC stayed pretty stable at -2 or even -1 or 0 at times. Of course, in this PT153 I ace the experimental section, do pretty well in LR, and have an unusually poor scored RC section. This has happened to me once before on PT150. Do I just need to keep trying and one of these days I'll be saved by the unscored section or is there something I should do to avoid this kind of situation? Maybe more RC practice? If I just did how I normally do on RC I would have easily scored in the 170s.

This is the kind of thing you can just chalk up to normal volatility. You'll get tests like these, and then the next time you could easily have the first one be the EXP and get a 176. Or you get your standing -2 on the RC that counts. Keep practicing and deepening understanding of the test, and don't focus on these natural fluctuations. Especially given that on the -4 RC the incorrect questions were spread out. It's not like you had timing issues where you rushed at the end and got a bunch wrong for that reason. So I'd say you're progressing exactly as you should be. You're at the level of the test where if you take it a few times, you just need a little bit of luck in your favor one of those times to get a score that pops.
