Burnout

Hi all, ive been studying for the lsat since 2025 august. I did pretty bad in April and am taking November. I just feel the same that I am feeling in august which is this immense level of stress and burnout. I feel guilty when I dont study during week days because I work and I only get an hour in the mornings. And then I ruin my own weekends because I lock myself in my room and use the 3 free days I get to study all day rather than going out with friends. Im at a crash out level lol. But wanted anyones advice oh how to manage stress and when I should stop studying before November.

Im also just pting in the mid 160s but I wanted to end up in the 170s so ive accepted I need to take another exam.

Honestly, it sounds like you’ve been grinding for a while, and feeling totally wiped out is just burnout, not laziness. Trying to force yourself to study more probably isn’t going to help at this point. You’ve already put in a ton of work, juggling your job and sacrificing your free time, so it’s completely normal to feel this way.

If I were you, I’d take a few days off, guilt-free. When you get back to it, just stick to your usual weekday hour, and on weekends, do one focused study session, then give yourself a whole day off for something fun or relaxing literally anything that isn’t LSAT. One solid practice test a week is more than enough. For the rest of your study time, focus on short, targeted drills that actually hit your weak spots instead of just cranking out more full tests.

I’d suggest doing your last full practice test about five to seven days before the November exam, then just keep it light during test week, and take the day before the test totally off. Honestly, someone who’s rested and hitting the mid-160s is way more likely to do well than someone who’s burned out from nonstop studying. Giving yourself a real break can actually help you show up at your best.
