Has your undergraduate or graduate course of study been interrupted for one or more terms for any reason?
I took a year (or two?) off after my freshman year, but this is all explained in my addendum because of personal circumstances surrounding housing insecurity and bad grades I got during my first semester as a result.
Do I have to submit a character statement about this? Or is my general addendum fine since it covers it?

Good question!
A character and fitness question always takes precedent over an addenda. If you were going to explain it anyway on the addenda, you can just move your explanation over the CF question and be done with it.
