Got my ass kicked by PT155 RC

For those who are feeling defeated/discouraged from studying for the LSAT, this is for you.

I spot a tendency of people posting their recent high PT score in the discussions. While it is absolutely justified to be proud of your hard work, it invariably may cause some people to doubt their progress. So today I am going to embarrass myself and share how I got my ass handed to me by PT 155's RC section after mainly focusing on RC for a month.

For the past month I had been doing 4 passages a day with 125% time along with blind review on wrong and flagged questions. This is something I developed through speaking with tutors and advices from people who found success with the RC section. I was seeing steady improvements so I was fairly confident that PT 155 will be my new high. The morning of Friday comes, I woke up with a good amount of sleep (8 hours) begin my day with my usual breakfast (eggs, sausage, hash browns) and the perfect amount of caffeine (a cup of green tea). Everything variable was curated for the best possible performance for this PT. I finished the entire PT feeling decent about it then BAM. 153. I am not going lie and say it didn't hurt my soul because it absolutely did. Despite studying very hard for the past month I have actually scored THE LOWEST I'VE EVER SCORED FOR AN RC SECTION (I think my blind diagnosis was better than this). HOWEVER, I still strongly believe that if I follow what's being taught on 7Sage and keep practicing, I will eventually reach the score I am aiming for. Maybe this is delusional but when Lightning McQueen was asked how did he knows he could win his first race he once said, "I just never thought I couldn't." And that goes for every one of you reading this, don't disqualify yourself before the test could disqualify you.

I am not making this post to discourage people from sharing their new high PT score, we love seeing that since it serves as a thread to share tips and advices about what works. I just want to show people that progress is not linear. And if you just be kind to yourself and give yourself enough time, one way or the other we will all make it. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

Fr its definitely ups and downs. My last 3 preptests have gone 157 to 165(my highest) back to 157. Its pretty discouraging to not have linear progress but thats not realistic. Keep pushing !😤

Nothing to be ashamed of. Even though that is not the score you expected, you will get the score you need to get into law school; we all will. Looking forward to your next high score update. I hope to share some progress soon, too.
