@Tyson.manis@gmail.com Yeah me too! I tend to struggle more with implied questions. Will definitely try paying more attention to the answers that are more easily supported now you've pointed it out. Would you happen to have a trick up your sleeve as well with attitude questions besides highlight adjectives?
@DaisukeKaga I've heard a lot of good things about The Economist in terms of how similar in length and style they are written compared to RC passages on the LSAT. I am currently reading "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman for about a chapter a day. Perhaps I just need to trust the process. Will definitely give The Economist a go tho now that you mentioned it. Good luck on your studies!!

Hi all,
After 8 months of studying I have accumulated a large wrong answer journal and the pattern I notice is that the questions I tend to get wrong in both LR and RC are due to misread, not understanding what the question is asking/ what the answer is saying, not picking up cues, and not understanding the vocabulary LSAT writers are using. This is not surprising to me since English isn't my first language.
I just want to ask the community for some tips that aren't just "read more carefully" or "build up your English proficiency" as I am currently already working on those. For people that are in similar situation as me (not having a strong English background), what has helped you get through the dense language used on the test?
Any advice would help!! Even if they are little tricks that would help in certain situations so feel free to share.

@QB No problem!! My first official test is in November! I actually am not aware of the tech difficulties going around. Was there any other tech difficulties that stood out to you and would you recommend a tour at the test center prior to the test date?
I am sorry to hear the load of trouble you had on your big day, it is truly unfortunate :( But it is more important during time like this to not be discouraged!! You can't change what had happened but you change your perspective on it. Having read your post, I can think of a few ways to see it as less of a misfortune:
You are even more familiar with the test center environment/procedures now!
You got a few extra reps in during the test!!
You got more time to study!!!
What you studied so hard for will not magically disappear in the next 8 days. You are only better than you were from this experience so DO NOT let it affect you!!

@JacobBaska Hey Jacob! I am a Canadian applying to schools in Canada and I am planning to submit my application with my November LSAT score with a plan to retake in January if I bomb the November LSAT.
My question is, would my application be considered "too late" since Nov LSAT score won't be revealed until December 2nd and I heard admission officers won't start evaluating the application until they have all the information.
I am also worried since I know my GPA isn't the best (below median), so the acceptance would depend entirely on how well I do on the LSAT and factors such as application timing and personal statement.
Would it be better to wait for the next cycle or should I throw in my "late" application and hope for the best? Would reapplying next cycle to the same school that rejected me this year hurt my chances?

@naojnue wow that is an incredible improvement in such a short amount of time! Did you seek advice from a tutor or other resources besides 7sage? Also I see that you are planning to apply to mainly Canadian institutions (sorry for snooping around 😭), I am also Canadian myself and looking to apply to the same schools as you. @Mail_Jabrayilov Thanks for sharing! I will definitely check other platforms out like you've suggested. To answer your question, yes I feel like I don't remember where to find the information I need when a question asks for it, especially when the context in a purpose in context question is embedded in a longer paragraph. This usually results in me reading the whole passage from head to toe which takes a minute or two before I could start eliminating answers. But what bother me more are questions about purpose of paragraph. The answer choices for those questions often includes "this paragraph builds off/related/continues to argue... from the first paragraph..." When there are answer choices that suggests a relation between 2 paragraph, I often have a hard time eliminating them since I have no idea where to even start. How do you usually go about tackling purpose in context/paragraph questions?
@Mail_Jabrayilov wow I wouldn't have thought that you didn't take the RC lesson on 7sage. How do you find toggling between the different platforms you are using? Is it worth the time and money or is it optional in your opinion? Also, I know this is up to personal preference, but do you do a low res summary like the tutors suggests on 7sage? I find writing how a sentence or even a couple words messes up my flow and takes significantly longer although I could certainly build the habit now if it is going to improve my RC session over all.

I was also wondering how you go about tackling the RC section for both studying and reviewing wrong answers. Right now I've been noticing that most of the questions I get wrong are due to not reading the passage carefully enough, so blind reviewing doesn't feel like it's helping much since I am not addressing the root of the cause. Is drilling the only way to get better at RC or did you find a particular method or lesson on 7Sage helpful. Thanks again for your help!
congratulations! I also see that you went from 159 to 177 within a month in March. May I ask what you've done differently that resulted in the huge increase in such a short span of time? Thank you!!
Exact same issue here! Let me know if you end up finding a good tutor perhaps we can get out of this plateau together
