Do schools generally track if you've come to their virtual information sessions? If so, how does that usually surface in the application review? Should we mention it in an essay provided it doesn't feel like shoehorning it in there?

It depends on the school but most do track attendance. They do so for business ops purposes mostly. For example, if it's the end of the admissions cycle and the team is trying to figure out what went well, what to do differently next year, what to scrap, etc., they need data in order to inform their decisions. If they don't track attendance at their virtual events, then how do they know whether or not they were successful and worth doing in the future?
But because they track attendance these events, attending an event should also show up in your app record. This should be on the "home page" of your application reading profile before they open any of your app PDFs (the CAS Report and the EApp). So they'll see it before they read your file. But to your question regarding you mentioning your attendance - it never hurts. This just ensures that they definitely see it, especially on the off chance that it's a school that doesn't track attendance.
@JacobBaska Ok, thanks so much! I appreciate the substantive response!
