NOV LSAT TO JAN

Good Morning/Afternoon to all,

Has anyone looked into changing their LSAT date from NOV to JAN? Will submissions to fall of 2027 still be feasible?

My PTs have been so inconsistent, and I believe the extra 8 weeks will push me in a really good spot my concern is that I don't make it to school in the fall because of a late LSAT.

Met with the dean of my top choice last week and she was very encouraging of retaking in Jan to get more scholarship money and said that they get a ton of students who are admitted who apply in February. I think it's very dependent on the place, but I'm applying with my current score to some that have directly told me that applying before Thanksgiving is best and waiting for others. You can always call and ask them what timing is best for their institution, something I recently learned from the 7sage podcast!

You 100% can still get into law school and get a scholarship if you take it in January. I was submitting applications in March and I was able to get accepted. I opted to delay a cycle to try to get a better score and apply earlier in the end but that doesn't change that I got in.

@Adam Thanks Adam! I’m based in New Jersey, so I’ve decided to take the November LSAT and also register for the January exam as a backup. I’m keeping the option open to transfer during 1L if needed. Good luck on your future endeavors!

depends on the school, but it's more important to submit your best application forward
