Anyone else experiencing a huge discrepancy between their PT score and actual test score? I have been scoring in the low 170s consistently on PTs, but got a 160 on the October LSAT, which is actually a point lower than my August test….the strange thing is that I did not feel particularly nervous, and didn’t think that the test was particularly more difficult than PTs. I cannot seem to figure out why and have lost all confidence….any similar experiences, suggestions or comments would be much appreciated!!!

I think one of the things about more recent tests is that they really are tricky in terms of trap answers. What I've learned about the LSAT is that if you don't feel like you are battling, you probably are missing something. The testmakers have become extremely proficient at creating attractive answers that are just the barest bit wrong and thus all wrong.
Literally the exact same thing happened to me! I have been hitting 170 on the dot (my goal score) consistently across PTs leading up. I had a lot of nerves in September and a bad test experience (163), but was expecting to score at least a 165 on my October test considering that I felt a lot less nervous this time around. Please anyone who has gone through something similar give advice so I can get my goal score in November, I am so discouraged and have worked so hard.
@mec123 If you're still experiencing nerves, I would recommend consulting with a doctor about taking beta-blockers. I also recommend doing some older/easier sections in the lead up to November to build back up your confidence.
