Should I Cancel My Score?

Hi. I just got back my score on the August LSAT and got a 156. This was my first test and I was PTing around 163-165 but after I took the test I knew I did worse than my PTs because my nerves and my anxiety got the best of me. At one point I couldn't even focus on the test and I was just reading the words on the screen without really understanding them. With this being said, should I cancel my score or is it fine if it is lower than I wanted and should keep it because hopefully I will improve on it on future tests? Would greatly appreciate any feedback

    This exact thing happened to me in June. I ended up scoring 10 points lower than I'd been PTing, and it was super discouraging. That being said, I would also encourage you to keep your score. Law Schools are going to see a canceled score and assume it was a bad score anyway, so you might as well let them see some improvement! (I kept my terrible score as well)

    I would encourage you to keep your score! That is a good score, and you should be proud of it for your first time. I also took the August LSAT and scored a 145. This was my first exam too, but I see it as motivation to do well in November and show schools the increase from my first attempt to my second. Thus, take this as an opportunity to tell your story on how you bounced back. I think it's more impressive for schools to see how you improved from your first score than to hide it and score either the same, worse, or only a bit better without them knowing all the work you put in. Just my two cents for you to take, and hopefully this helps. We got this, and it's not over yet! You are more than your score!
