While mapping out my study plans for the LSAT I read somewhere that reading The Economist and the New Republic were good supplementary materials to prep materials. I read both diligently but I saw even more RC improvement once I started incorporating the New Yorker into my study plan. Their articles are very dense and it can be difficult to keep the information straight. Really forces you to concentrate on what you're reading. Another added benefit is their articles run the spectrum of subjects - could be pop culture, politics, history or science. This was tremendously helpful to me and I hope it helps someone else.

Make sure you confirm your accommodations with the proctor as soon as they come online. My proctor said she couldn’t find my accommodations and she had never worked with accommodations. Then said she found them notated in a special section but she still didn’t know how to handle my case since I had accommodations. I had to get switched to another proctor. I had to ask for my 5 minute break and did that between section 2-3. The proctor didn’t offer me a break between 1-2. I should’ve asked when I wasn’t offered. I did not advocate for myself. Make sure you speak up and let them know what you’re approved for. My proctor u experience was awful and terrible for my anxiety. :(
@ i can’t remember exactly but it was something so that proctor u could view my screen. It wasn’t hard to install, it was just a click of a button but it just took forever to get someone on the line to troubleshoot and then it took that person a while to figure out what the issue actually was. I don’t even know if it works because when I signed in for my test at a later time I used a window laptop
TLDR: if you have a MacBook, make alternate plans and use another computer/laptop for flex.
I had my flex exam today. I have a MacBook Air. I logged in and could not get the system to register. I did all the necessary prechecks and everything worked fine. I waited for an tech for over an hour. I was told that proctor u does not interface correctly OS software. I had to install something on the system preferences and close out of proctor u. When I logged back in my exam wasn’t active. The tech told me I had to reschedule and in order to reschedule I had to pay $12. I went full on Karen at that point and said I wasn’t paying to reschedule since it wasn’t my fault I had to wait for assistance. I got transferred to someone else who rescheduled my test for, 3 hours after the original start time. So I had to wait for my new time. During that time I decided to use my surface instead of my MacBook and when it came time to log in I did without any issues.
Very encouraging posts. Thank you all for the nourishment because I feel like my well is almost dry!
@ good for you for advocating for yourself. I saw on another blog that if someone was told they could not use paper to contact lsac asap for a retake.
@ omg that’s so stressful. My test is tomorrow. I’m so nervous.
Friend of mine said she’s been waiting for almost 2 hours for a proctor to “arrive” so she can start her test.
If you get the refund and ticket to retake in the future does that cancel your score?
I’m sorry but I’m so confused. How did you take the lsat feb and July 2019? I thought the historically scheduled February test was in March this year and we haven’t even gotten to July 2019 🤯
I’m hoping the scores are released on Thursday. This wait is torture!
Did you start studying in January 2018?
What an accomplishment! You put in the work and the fruit of your labor unfolded. Best wishes!
I'm not over 35 but close enough. Decided to take a stab at law school since admissions are still down and with a good lsat score you can secure some type of funding. With this info I was finally able to lobby my lawyer husband to support my law school ambitions. Good luck with everything. Be proud of what you've accomplished so far!
I'm taking June. It'll be my 3 and last time. I took the weekend off and ordered the LSAT trainer. Whenever that arrives I'll start to study again. I'm
Also going to purchase the full 7S course. Good luck!
Can I join the June study group or is it too late?
The people sitting around me had no less than 15 on their desks plus sharpeners. Seems extra to me but whatever you need to push thru! I had 2 and a sharpener and did just fine. My hand gets so weak from writing. I never write anything these days.
Idk i think you shouldn't cancel. You already took the test and are scheduled for June. Get your results and see how you did.

Did anyone else feel like the LR was especially easy?? This is the third time I've taken the LSAT and I was shocked by the LR section.
I thought the LR was easy too but I'll see once the scores are released. I had a hard time with the children beaker expanding question. That stumped me for sure.

Can anyone please confirm that G2 was silver/gold and G3 was 12-weeks? Thanks in advance!
That's how it was on my exam.
Has anyone ever sat for the LSAT in less than ideal testing conditions? Let me hear your story!
Not to one up you, but......
This was my second time taking the exam. The first time was at a college with comfortable desks and a quiet atmosphere. This time it was at a hotel that was a complete mess. The exam room was near the lobby so there was a lot of traffic from hotel guests. They were very loud in the hallway. We were also close to a kitchen and you could hear the staff speaking occasionally. There were also some loud crashes with various pans falling in the kitchen area. The desks had tablecloths on them so that wasn’t the easier to use with filling in the scantron form. At the break the test taker I was sitting with agreed to remove the table cloth. But that didn’t help since the desk was wood and kept sticking to our shirts. I even got a splinter during the writing section. Fml
Thanks to this community I've improved my RC and logic game scores tremendously, yet for some reason my AR score has gone down. That was the section that I was strongest in. I'm supposed to sit for the Feb test Saturday but I think I'm going to parlay that into writing for the June one instead. I was still planning to take June anyway, but was going to take Feb since I was already registered. My husband said he thinks taking the test Saturday is still a good idea, for practice reasons, but I don't want to chance it. I was devestated after receiving my Dec score and I read here that the day of score could be lower than PTs when you account for day of jitters etc. it's just that I'm older than most of you tenderonis and cannot afford another year of waiting. sigh I have to remind myself it'll be worth the wait.
This post gives me hope. I took my second lsat in feb and did only marginally better than I did in December. I'm taking it one last time in June and am working hard for a significant improvement. If not I'll have to put my law school ambition to bed. Congratulations on your improved score. Go be great!
Also I checked my lsac account and have a cancel button available for my flex test
