ED application

Good evening,

I have been working on my law school application materials to apply ED. If I am set on attending a particular school, would it be wise to personalize all of the recommendations and essays to the school (UGA)? Also, how soon should I schedule a tour of the school after I apply?

Thank you so much!

LOR advice

Good evening,

I already have individuals who have agreed to write letters of recommendation for me. In addition to my resume, what other information should I send to my LOR writers? They have interacted with me a good bit, but don’t know everything about me. What suggestions do you all have for information that I should get to these individuals?

Thank you so much in advance!

Personal statement review

Good evening,

I have began working on my personal statement and have narrowed my decision to three topics. I cannot decide which one is most fitting and relevant. If anyone is interested in reading what I have so far and providing feedback, that would be awesome. I would be willing to exchange my work so far with other’s as well. If anyone is interested, please message me your email. Thank you so much in advance

UGA Application

Good afternoon,

I received my June LSAT score today. My score was 159 and my current GPA is 3.87. Here is some data about the University of Georgia's applicant pool from last year https://officialguide.lsac.org/Release/SchoolsABAData/SchoolPage/SchoolPage.aspx

I will definitively retake, but this was a positive test take for me and I am not sure how much I can improve at this point. With strong LOR's, PS, and GPA, but a mediocre LSAT, how far behind the blackball will I be of receiving acceptance to UGA if I don't improve my score?

Thank you in advance! I hope the June test treated people well. I'm so thankful for the helpful 7Sage community.

I highly recommend Ultimate Plus. The length of the course also provides flexibility. It is worth every penny.

I’ve began doing daily meditation. Also, I really need to improve my logic game skills. Fool proofing every day to get closer to my goals. It can be really overwhelming when you think of the significance of this test.

Personal Statement

Good afternoon 7sage community,

I have been brainstorming ideas and thoughts for my personal statement. Is it recommended to personalize each personal statement for each school? Same goes for recommendation letters, do you use a general letter for all schools or unique versions for each school? I am new to the process, please excuse my lack of knowledge.

Thank you

LOR advice

Good evening,

My English 1101 teacher from 2015 made a big impact on my academic career. In the past, he was written the strongest letters of recommendation for me among my professors. My only concern about getting him to write my Law School LOR is the class level he taught me. Would admissions prefer to see a letter from a more recent class you took and higher course than Eng 1101? I know he will write the best letter, but is he the right fit? He received his Ph.D. from Emory in English.

Thank you in advance!

I genuinely appreciate your input Sami. In the coming days, I will try to be implement these strategies. Rereading and rereading is a mistake I’m guilty of.

I almost always have 7 minutes remaining when I get to the last passage and it causes me to rush through. I get around half of BR questions I originally missed correct. Local questions really bog me down. Going back the passage and searching messes me up.

Reading Comprehension struggles

Good evening 7SAGE family,

I have been studying for the LSAT for around six months. Although I've finished all CC for reading comprehension I continue to struggle in this area. My gains have been great in LG and LR, but I have only improved minimally in RC. My scores range from 155-158 with a raw score of 16-20 on RC. This has come to me as no surprise as RC is the hardest to improve, but it's still discouraging to do so poorly. Even a small gain in the raw score of reading comprehension would be huge. I am scheduled to take the June LSAT. What advice can you give to help me with this reading stagnation?

Thank you in advance

I have a good GPA (3.84), but I am unsure how high I'll score on the LSAT. Where do I need to be in comparison to a school's average to have a good chance of acceptance? I know this is subjective and there are many other factors, but I would appreciate any input. Thank you
