This reminds me of an email I received one day at work that went like
"Design Team,
Thank you for implementing a fun new idea to freshen things up.
It has been deemed a total failure and is to be removed immediately.
Thank You,
Boss Man"
ugh what is this
let me see what it looks like bold
edit: oh my god the intensity
E seemed like a great answer choice because it removes the possibility the employees that were recorded committing an error were fired
Missed only two questions and this was one of them.
I'd like the answer on this as well.
The schools I want to apply to accept apps until like...March? So I don't see why a Feb app would hurt anything.
Hey there. I am taking October and November. Looking for a study partner to track progress and do content reviews with. Shoot me a message if interested.
In the same boat as you. Would love to.
I selected answer choice E because I conflated "explanatory power" with utility.
Explanatory power is not a consideration here. The sentence in question merely purports to accept that, while inelegant and insufficient to dispel mysteries of the human psyche, it is useful.
The reason I selected A was because I mislabeled the last sentence of the passage as a conclusion. This changes the referenced sentence from a clear premise to the true conclusion, to a phenomenon that the sub conclusion seeks to explain.
I am unsure of what the problem is. I believe it may be an insufficient ability to translate English into Lawgic. Often times the ones I seem to get correct, my English---->Lawgic translation is incorrect.
I would like to continue through the course and just keep this weakness in the back of my mind. But I also would not like to do that at my own detriment. My questions are as follows:
Where can I go to practice these English ----> Lawgic translations without wasting the precious resources of actual problem sets.
Can I just go through the rest of the course while working on that and then return the MBT/SA questions at a later date?
I've got a Google Calendar where I log my study times. Would love to share it with whomever, so we can make sure we're both hitting our goals and see an overview of what we are reviewing!
Email me: blakewmorrisuk@gmail.com
My plan is this:
Make a Google Calendar where I log the times I studied that day, as well as a brief description of the key points.
I would love someone to do this with me. Studying alone has been so miserably isolating. This would be a great, non-intrusive way to look at what each other are working on and reach out if we see some extended lapses in studying.
I am really early in the core curriculum.
Would love to share a google calendar with someone to log our studying with and maybe review some topics once a week on Skype or something.
Anyone interested?
solid enough to persuade an entire fucking panel...
Laughed out loud at that. Loved this
Analogous Argument:
Recent studies have shown that, contrary to popular belief, people who do not eat high fats and carbs are more overweight than people who do. Therefore, anyone who wants to be as healthy as possible would be wise to not abstain from fats and carbs.
abstain corr being overweight
DOES NOT MEAN abstaining causes an increase in being overweight. Perhaps doctors have told be to abstain because they are overweight.
Correct answer: People who abstain weigh less because they are abstaining.
I excelled effortlessly in the valid/invalid argument form drills but CANNOT make even the slightest headway into sufficient assumption/pseudo sufficient assumption questions.
Can I move on without sacrificing a fundamental understanding of other topics? Am I doomed?
I misread "followed by" as "following". Wow.
(A) Ouch. Lost to a trick question here.
(D) Correct because it is supported by the passage in saying "previous estimate of the size (blah blah blah) in the African Grasslands region were to small and the current population barely meets the previous estimates". This implies that "these cheetahs cannot survive a disaster at all". In the final sentence, it brings it home with "...there is not enough African grassland to support a wild cheetah population larger than the current population".
The "however" in the last sentence threw me off, and that's why I chose A. I was trying to rationalize that as saying "since they are at capacity, they must have survived previous disasters." That's not what that however was doing.
REMEMBER: Quit reachin'
I failed to notice the word "accessible".
My reasoning was, "B has to be incorrect because they probably knew of the graphite during war times, just coudln't get to it". However, the addition of the word "accessible" perfectly defines why they had to use different graphite.
I am very fatigued.
(A) That is paralleled in the "movement"
(B) This answer choice is the correct answer. Nonmammalian species are not represented in any way in the passage.
(C) I chose this one as the correct answer choice. My reasoning was invalid, as this act is paralleled in the passage by the word "social response"
(D) This is correct because in the passage it describes these neural connection as "indespensable for the mammal's survival and well-being as an adult"
(E) This answer choice is paralleled in the passage by the word "posture"
I haven't written mine yet, but would loooove to read others. I will reply with mine once I have it done. Thank you in advance. B*********@.com
