I'm not an admissions counselor or anything, but for the March application school I don't think you're going to have a great chance :( unless you did your argumentative writing section prior to taking the actual LSAT, and you had your personal statement/addendums/letters of rec on hand and ready to submit, it's highly unlikely you would be able to send out your score before the deadline AND not be waitlisted or rejected. As for the June deadline school, you're definitely still in the green. Just get your stuff done ASAP and submit your application the minute your score comes through and you should be ok. I promise you there have been people who have made it in last minute.

We're in a very similar boat, so you're not alone. I wish you the best of luck <3

Hey this has been happening to me too. I took a PT a few days ago, way lower than my highest score, and I completely freaked out.

Im thinking:

  1. We're burnt out; we haven't been controlling our anxiety levels or we've been overthinking things. Sometimes it's better to walk away and come back when you're of a rested mind.

  2. Being worried about time. I tend to do questions REALLY quickly because I get worried about time. Frankly, it's better that we're slow but correct. At least we'll get a majority of the questions done right, rather than answering all of the questions within the time frame but they're wrong.

  3. Not learning from mistakes. Easier said than done, but sometimes I find going through my wrong answer journal and really taking in what my biggest issues are (for me, not reading the question 100% and misunderstanding what it wants from me) helps me avoid making the same issues on PTs.

I wish you the best of luck!! I hope you get a 181 come test day, just try to relax in between studying :)

😖 Frustrated

Science stimuli are killing me

I've noticed my biggest weakness, especially for RC, are science passages/questions. I don't know if it's intimidation or just being completely incompetent at understanding basic science, but I really struggle here. I get confused mid-stimulus and lose the point of the question, then tend to start worrying about how I'm doing on time.

I guess a lot of it has to do with just being able to comprehend the passages, but that in itself is quite difficult for me. So are there any tips anyone has for science questions? Or am I kinda cooked?

Honestly, maybe you should? I'm taking both bc I don't feel 100% confident about the Jan test, and giving myself a second chance motivates me as well.

Here's a question: are you applying to T-14 schools? I'm applying to a T-100 and although I am applying pretty late considering it'll be my January or February score, I still am before the deadline and my odds are not completely shot down. If you're applying to a T-14 school then yeah, maybe you should wait until next cycle. But still take the February test, bc you might do better on the Feb test depending on the questions they have. You never really know. Plus you'll still be on that post-studying kick and accuracy so you don't feel rusty when you take it again.

As for the number of times you've taken the test, you can always write an addendum! You might not like hearing that but schools could also interpret your several tests as commitment to getting into law school. Either way don't worry too much <3 ultimately its your choice but I would go for Feb too.
