hello guys! I have been really trying to figure out what is best for me and need advice.

I took a gap year to save money, hoping to get into school. I took my lsat in November and got a lower score (not too low to were I can advance), I am taking the February lsat and hoping that this score is what I need to apply to a couple schools. These schools are not prestigious and are is my budget. The deadline for applications is March and June. Im not so worried with scholarships but more worried about acceptance. I really don't want to wait till next cycle.

  • I am of the opinion that it doesn't hurt to apply this cycle and see what happens (given that you have the time or financial means to do that)! Also, if you go to https://lsd.law/ you can see self-reported admissions data from this cycle and previous cycles. You can look at the applicants from the particular schools you want to apply to and filter by GPA, LSAT score, etc., and see what their admissions outcomes were. You can also filter by the months in which they submitted their applications and see if those applicants were accepted, waitlisted, or rejected. Maybe that can give you an idea of what is right for you. Wishing you the best!! <3

  • I'm not an admissions counselor or anything, but for the March application school I don't think you're going to have a great chance :( unless you did your argumentative writing section prior to taking the actual LSAT, and you had your personal statement/addendums/letters of rec on hand and ready to submit, it's highly unlikely you would be able to send out your score before the deadline AND not be waitlisted or rejected. As for the June deadline school, you're definitely still in the green. Just get your stuff done ASAP and submit your application the minute your score comes through and you should be ok. I promise you there have been people who have made it in last minute.

We're in a very similar boat, so you're not alone. I wish you the best of luck <3
