Hello Expert! I am a prospective international applicant from Bangladesh. I am currently pursuing a two-year LL.B. Professional degree and wish to become eligible to practice law in California.
Before applying to any U.S. LL.M. program, I would like to understand whether my Bangladeshi legal education may satisfy California’s foreign-educated applicant requirements.
Could you please advise me on the following?
Whether my two-year LL.B. Professional degree, together with my prior BBA degree, may qualify me to take the California Bar Examination.
Whether I would need to complete an LL.M. at an ABA-approved or California-accredited law school.
What credential evaluation, transcripts, and other documents I would need to submit.
Whether I can request a formal eligibility evaluation before enrolling in a U.S. law school.
I would be grateful for guidance on the appropriate procedure and applicable requirements.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Abu Asad
