This throws me for a loop in comparison to LR. RC sets itself up to be this more dense, questioning section that asks you to critically think about passages. Thinking back to my high school days, I just sort of expect there to be a lot more SAT style grammar or word questions and for them to be straightforward, but instead everything is supported by something else in the text and being able to come to your own logical conclusions.
I do think that the low-res method probably helps bridge that gap and make the RC less daunting. I find it really hard to do RC passages right after a LR section because it feels like I am processing complex logic in short passages and then just get a metaphorical science brick thrown at me.
Not gonna lie this entire RC section body slammed me. I zoned out and got so hung up on what implicit was meant to mean that I forgot the approval part. What an unusual question stem.
This is the first example where my brain felt like it was getting stretched. The other groups and example made sense, but now this one is making me aware of how the logic can be very different with the use of just one word.
I keep doing this thing where I read the important condition of the statement and then just... forget to apply it. I read the drop out part but immediately deleted the "go to work" part from my brain which caused me to spend a whole lot more time on this question than I really had to. Hopefully I'm not the only person making this mistake? It's so hard to keep every part of a question in your head sometimes.
