Isaiah is a paralegal from Brooklyn who previously worked in education for many years, both as a preschool teacher and soccer coach. He has a master's degree in philosophy and has experience teaching and tutoring formal logic. In his free time, Isaiah enjoys reading fiction, writing, and playing chess. Isaiah is a devoted Arsenal fan and enjoys spending his weekends either playing soccer or watching it from the couch. Soccer, chess, and philosophy are where Isaiah finds his teaching inspiration, in particular the parallels between sports psychology and the psychology of test-taking. His favorite part of tutoring is the challenge required to make complicated concepts click; the moment an intimidating or opaque question becomes decipherable is the most satisfying part of learning.
