I think what helped make it make sense overall was that last bit 12:30. Describing the "most but not all" claim helped.

I think question 2.4 had me understand this best.

Unless there is oxygen, a fire will not burn.

if you try to confuse the necessary condition and the sufficient condition, it just sounds weird because it is not at all guaranteed.

o2 --> fire

If there is oxygen, then there is a fire.

rather it is this:

fire--> o2

If there is a fire, there is oxygen.
