Yeah S/W/E are my worst question types and I literally cannot figure them out for the life of me.

"ID the conclusion. Don't have the mindset where the answer choice should "prove" the conclusion wrong (for weaken) or right (for strengthen).

For weakening questions, the right answer will generally be one of four: countering the reasoning used to support (ex: we got new customers after we got good reviews at our company, so those reviews helped us get new customers --> none of the new customers read reviews), providing an alternative explanation (ex: exercise leads to weight loss, so you should exercise to lose weight --> people who have healthy diets can lose as much weight as those who exercise), saying something's true in only one case when the argument applies it to all (ex: those who study don't see improvement in class, so studying doesn't help --> only those with already high grades don't see improvement), or saying something's true in all/other cases when the argument applies it to only one (ex: lawyers make a lot of money, so the only way to have a lot of money in life is to become a lawyer --> doctors and finance bros also make roughly the same as lawyers).

For strengthening, it's a lot more simplified since the answer choice will be something that's in line with the premises (ex: kids who are read to by their parents when they're young become smarter, so adults should read to kids --> kids read to by other adults such as teachers become as smart as those read to by their parents) or if you add it as an additional premise, the argument becomes a lot better (ex: there are various temples in Ancient Greece dedicated to different deities, so they probably worshipped a lot of gods --> the Greeks also created the Olympics, where various festivals to different gods were held during the ceremonies)."
