Hello everyone, I am taking my first LSAT August 8th, which is this Saturday. I have been going back and forth on whether or not I should take one more LSAT tomorrow morning. Due to my accommodations for the exam, there wasn't many available time options to schedule the in person exam at, so I was forced to chose 8:30am. I am not the kind of person who wakes up early, but I have gradually been trying to fix my sleep schedule this week to accommodate the early test time. On test day I will have to wake up at 6:30am, so I was thinking to take one last practice test tomorrow morning and wake up at 6:30 and take the PT at 8:30 to simulate early testing conditions. Is this a good idea to do so close to my exam or have I missed my chance to simulate this? I feel like one more practice test might be beneficial for me but have heard many people advise against this. Please let me know. and good luck to everyone else taking the exam this week. Thank you!
I didn't pick E because of the word "practical". Just because something is not practical, doesn't mean that it can't be done. Just that it's not easy. How is that not applicable here. #help #feedback
For the explanation in AC A, it says " Even if the faculty member failed to disprove the president’s argument, it’s perfectly fine to present your own positive argument without having to actively disprove every conceivable opposing argument".
Does that mean that this type of answer choice will always be wrong since it's perfectly fine to present a positive argument? Or will there be instances where this could be the answer. I've seen answer choices like this before on other questions and have always wondered this. Usually I can find a better AC but I sometimes waste time entertaining it. #feedback
@Pspspsps I agree. @Kevin_Lin I would rather have a longer explanation, than feel that an explanation is too short and still not understand.
How do I know that the sentence about "the deterioration can be slowed..." isn't just thrown out there as extra fluff. I got this question right because of the video lesson before this question, so it was in my head, but in a real test that sentence would just seem superfluous to me. Is it just based out of process of elimination and that was just the best answer out there?
I got it right but was confused on the explanation. If the question would have said "and not for its value" instead of "and not just for its value" then would we have come to a different conclusion. Technically you could really like something, enjoy it for a year or two, and then sell it for profit. Is it because the sentence says "just". I included the third one in my diagramming and then the investment part ended up slowing me down to finding the right answer.
I'm confused. This is the first grammar lesson ive gotten so far and in the video it says that this is the last one and refers to a sentence reviewed in a previous lesson. Is this happening to someone else or is it because of my tailored study plan based on my first lsat practice test I submitted and the amount of time I have until my real test day?
So is AC E flawed logic or no? I'm confused based on the video explanation and the explanation under the answer choice. My exam is in 3 day. #help #urgent #feedback
