the new format expands across the full screen, so for people with large monitors, the whole question looks like one big straight line.

@Daisy228 Save this post - we will see the bell curve shoot to the left now that online testing is done with... and also see 1.5x ADHD waivers double
Has anyone else looked at the recent data released on LSAT scores? There is something HIGHLY fishy going on with the increase in the top line... which happens to take place just after you are allowed to take the test remotely! cough cheating cough (didn't say it!)
Here are the facts:
The number of LSAT Applicant tests have increased by 30%
The LSAT Median (155-159) has increased similarly at 26% .. so far so good, normal distribution with added applicants.
The alarm shows up at the top end... an !!!!!! 85% !!!!! increase in (175-180) scorers. Nearly DOUBLING the top line.
My Thesis:
Any addition, or subtraction, from applicants STATISTICALLY SHOULD result in the same distribution range. We know LSAT has been very fair with creating a system for their two LRs and one RCs to keep an even playing field for all applicants. Even with the dropping of logic games, an ALMOST DOUBLING on the top line would be unheard of.
Anyone who has taken remote/online testing during college, knows about friend or two, that knows how to go around the Prometric system. Not that any of us here would do that of course. Could this also be LSAC blanket approving anyone with a doctors note for 1.5x time? Possibly. Could it be Prometric work arounds? possibly. Did we just get smarter applicants? Possibly.
But I will say one thing ... when there is smoke .. there is ...
Anytime you run into E - its usually wrong because "we care about GRANVILE not surrounding areas" so immediately crossed that off.
B made the most sense, cuz if you were tardy, you would likely speed to school to try to make it in time.
both are assumptions.
Putting "workers" and "free lance writers" into the same category for B is devil play
I crossed out D, because just because a machine shows its function - doesnt mean its easier to gauged its work
One up if you picked C because of process of elimination, but didn't know why it was right .. you just knew the others were wrong
couldnt you use the same logic for D? Its in their experience, they havnt met someone is either wise or intelligent .. so someone could be globally.
this is when LSAT writers write 5/5 questions using words the general population doesnt know. what "economies of expression" and "verbosity" mean. if you didnt know that, you wouldnt get this right.
but "students who spent the most time studying did not earn grades as high" so that rules out C - which is the more a student studied, the better his grade was.
If C was true, that means that the students who spent the most time studying would have the best grades?
I find some LSAT questions you can make no leaps in the answer key - but then you hit a 5/5 star and they require leaps in the answer key
Agreed with another comment. "sharp decrease in sales" ok? but how much of a decrease? 10%? what if thats still more than milk?
I chose E cuz everything else was wrong. But E could be wrong too.
stim says "air is COMPLETELY replenished" .. so if its 30 min / 1 hr / 1.5 hr, etc, it resets back to zero.
So 1980 flight, .5/1hr refresh = 0% carbon dioxide, with less build up in between
2020 flight, 1hr refresh only = 0% carbon dioxide, with more build up in between
E- the LEVEL of carbon dioxide in the cabin is lower than today .. incorrect cuz its both 0% at the two hour mark
but i imagined LSAT isnt getting that deep in the weeds and none of the other answers was right.
When an applicant’s numbers are slightly below a school’s medians, what specific things in the application can realistically move the file from ‘maybe’ to ‘admit,’ and what kinds of personal statements or soft factors do admissions officers tend to discount as less persuasive?

@J.Y.Ping well, just let us switch between it with a note "actual format" vs "prior 7sage format" (or whatever you want to call it)
