what exactly does prescriptive language mean?
Can anyone help explain how D is correct? I don't understand why the "change to occur" statement relates to the stimulus
Can anyone help explain this?
I ended up getting it right (a little more time than I would have preferred) but that took me wayy too long
i understand why the answer I picked (C) is wrong and A is correct. However, I'm worried that in the future, I still would not get a question like this correct.
Question 8 - I chose B because I figured lichen are more likely to grow on a fossilized skeleton than a glacier which I would assume would recede as it melts (?). Is there any way to understand this and apply it to the future? I kind of get stuck in moments like this, not understanding how I can improve.
I don't really understand how E was calculated, can anyone help?
Does answer B indicate that the only way to resolve the financial predicament was to invest in computer modeling technology? I struggled to pick this one because I thought the stimulus did not indicate that the only way to increase traffic was through the modeling technology, just that the mayor did that. Since this is a MBT, I wasn't sure answer choice B was unequivocally supported by the stimulus. Does my reasoning/question about clarification make sense?
I understand why the other answers are incorrect, but I don't understand why C is correct because of the word "all." Are we just supposed to assume that "universal" means all? And they don't say it is a universal aspect, they say it appears to be a universal aspect. Is "certain" the qualifier then?
Not sure why it is A and not D. When they say some, what if the amount is not significant? Versus D, we don't know that trees emit less than they absorb hence it could hasten global warming.
Why not A? I negated A and didn't think the argument could work... not sure.
Why not E?
