I called LSAC to clarify. They said that everyone who takes the the July test will be given the option to cancel, regardless of format.

After seeing the score, correct? Regardless of paper or digital?

Yes. We will have 5 days after seeing the score to decide whether or not to cancel

So are we going to see our score immediately after the test if it is paper? Will they have a scantron in the room lol?

you will NOT get your score immediately after. i said you will be able to cancel your score within 5 days of seeing it. LSAC said that because of the transition to digital, we will need to wait longer than the typical 3 weeks to get our score - this is for everyone, regardless of the format

But if the test is digital, the test-taker should see the scores immediately after finishing the test (presumably on the tablet screen)..... Sorry for the additional questions

Perhaps in future administration this will be the case...but the test being digital doesn't necessarily mean the score needs to be accessible immediately after.

Not everyone is getting a digital test in July. It would be unfair that some people will see their scores immediately and some won't. On LSAC's website, they wrote "TBA" as the scheduled date for the score release in July.

I totally understand how test day nerves can hinder performance. I honestly wonder tho...if you were performing better at home without the nerves then what could a tutor do?

Perhaps try working on ways to control your nerves as best as possible or learn to work through them....

Make your best effort to take the test under real testing conditions as often as possible.

Take a deep breath, relax. Meditate.

Not sure if these suggestions will help but I hope the best for you!

Is PowerScore necessary?

Hello friends!

Since joining the 7sage community a short while ago, I have been seeing the power score books mentioned a lot.

Are they necessary? Will I be at a disadvantage if I don't use them?

This is not my first time studying for the lsat. I have used other prep courses before and have also self studied with the LSAT trainer (which i loved). So, I'm just curious because since I have the ultimate+, I already have access to all lsat questions so I'm afraid to bother investing in the powerscore books if i don't really need them.

Hi everyone,

We've updated our medians cheat sheet with U.S. News and World Report's 2020 rankings. If you want to see how the rankings changed, you can look at our public Google sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tUI5y-Sw2utvXvUEk9IQDzC1Rc0NDb7Q4PFwzxYkZpw/edit#gid=2135953872.

Thanks for this!

When will the predictor be updated to include the 2019-2020 cycle?

what @ said. I would dispute the charge with the bank. Keep copies of any correspondence with them just incase you need it for your case. The bank should get you your money back. Good luck!

You can print out your problem sets! I feel the same way in feeling weird to not work with paper in front of me but I am making it my business to get used doing things on screen only because of the testing format. But I also do use a notebook for my notes and I print out problem sets from time to time. Try that! Hope it helps :)

How long should i wait before blind reviewing?

Hey all!

I am wondering how much time do you give yourself between answering questions and then blind reviewing? What I find is that if i do it immediately after doing the questions, i feel like I am biased towards still thinking my answer choice is correct. I think that if i allow some time in between, it may give me a more objective view of the answer choices to better reevaluate them. Is that something that any of you do? If so how much time do you allow between answering the questions and blind reviewing?

Thanks! :)

I would submit the change ASAP - as in today! Then maybe call them up by around Wednesday to follow up. OR you can submit it today and call LSAC tomorrow and let them know about the situation. Speaking to them directly would probably be best. Good luck!

I second @ 's webinar suggestion. Also have you listened to 7sage's podcasts? I found them to be useful to me and they're about an hour long so maybe check those out!

I definitely feel you on the burning out during quarantine. I found that sticking to a routine has really helped. Make sure to take frequent breaks to relax and do things you enjoy. I also like to change the scenery of where I study like if its a nice day, ill study in the park or something. Try little things like that...it might make a difference!

Also congrats on your score! That's something to celebrate :)

You can usually find the specifics on essays that a school wants through each school’s websites. Look through their admissions requirements.
