Hello all! I understand how Negation is different from the Contrapositive, as with Negation we are denying the relationship / conditionality (I think, right?), but I'm struggling to figure out where the Negation aspect fits into LR Question application - types of questions and how an answer / stimulus would fit into the mold - thoughts?

I called LSAC to clarify. They said that everyone who takes the the July test will be given the option to cancel, regardless of format.
After seeing the score, correct? Regardless of paper or digital?
Yes. We will have 5 days after seeing the score to decide whether or not to cancel
So are we going to see our score immediately after the test if it is paper? Will they have a scantron in the room lol?
I think the tough thing about this question is the idea of permitted vs the idea that the pool "has" to accommodate each person in the neighborhood... That is what confused me.

Hello all, I was wondering what type of questions we’ll see that require us to pick an answer choice where we are negating the conditional idea or where negating a conditional idea (vice versa with existential) is blended with the existential idea? Weakening maybe? How does negating a conditional idea tie into the type of question we’d expect to see on the LSAT? Does that make sense or am I’m confusing myself? 7SAGE did a great job explaining how negating existential / conditional ideas was accomplished, but having trouble understanding where either apply in Logical Reasoning. Thanks!
Is "As" in the LR stimulus - I think it's a premise indicator, correct; similar to because (synonym)?
Mods - is there anyway to access LRs and RCs explanations or are those not prepared?
Can anyone confirm the question with metamaterial affecting human vision as real or experimental LR section?
Did not think "pollution is a problem" and "pollution" were the same ideas.....

Thanks peeps. My order was LR LG LR LR RC, my second LR is experimental, the last question of which is about bright colored male bird/ duller female bird/ nesting sites/ predators.
Good - I thought that was the harder LR section.... It also had a question about metamaterial and human visibility or something..... Anyone remember that (for LR experimental)
I interpreted dissolved as to destroy - that threw me off.
Meh - did not catch "books" in the conclusion vice "novels"..... Once caught, that makes 100% sense
"B" was worded a little odd - but was able to pick it quickly and move on.
7Sagers - I'm aiming to take the LSAT again in June - my 4th go around as I really want to go to Law School (duh) in fall of 2018... Anyways, I fancy myself as one of the worst LSAT takers ever to come about - 144-146-151 (most recent)... I'm currently drilling at 161 average after taking 5 tests (and finishing most of the curriculum for a 2nd time) - 36-37-38-39-40... I've taken those tests before, but it has been a few years, so I think that my question recognition is distant and not an advantage....
The whole point - keep the faith - keep working hard and better results will follow.
One thing I've noticed - my confidence is on a whole different level than a few years ago... And I'm crushing Logic games - I average 2 misses per game roughly... That is key! Reading Comp is rough and Logic Reasoning is still frustrating. I'm not a robot and human... Really dig down the application effect for logic reasoning - don't gloss over the explanations!
My goal is anything over 158 come June and William and Mary Law!
One last piece of advice: find the right balance between practice tests and curriculum review!
I initially picked "A", and then switched to "B" based on the subtle nuance of "one" vs "many".....
Going through the curriculum again - I'd like to shoot for anything above a 158... Is it feasible for the June test?
Thanks JY - the example makes more sense now with the question.

Anyone else have LR-RC-LR-LR-LG and screw up on the one section that wasn't the experimental then killI the experimental section? I'm freaking out.
I think the first one was experimental.....

Anyone have a clue which LR was experimental in the LR-RC-LR-LR-LG ?
I think the 1st was experimental.....
When will it be released?
Powerscore predicting -10 curve?

Didn't think LG was that bad - I finished all games with no time to spare, but was able to answer each question confidently.... My god the RC... the first passage, I could not deduce wtf they were talking about. I can never tell with LR - could be good / could be bad

For the LR-RC-LR-LR-LG, anyone remember how maybe questions were in the first and second LR respectively? Seems like the first one was experimental.
26 for both

Dolphins and electric fences was real. What else was the Kafka RC about?
That was the 25 section or 26?
@ said:
LR with low self-esteem ppl feel more disrespected, was real. and all innovations deserve funding, was real.
Do you remember the questions about insurance sales and venus gases?

I had LR, RC, LR, LR, Game. I remember one LR question was about dolphins and electric fences, is this a real section? Also, does anyone think that the last passage of the RC about earthquakes was difficult?
Yes I believe so....
I had the same.... I had LR (26) RC LR (26) LR (25) LG
For the second LR section, I had a question about insurance sales/advertising and one about venus gases warming atmosphere.... Was that the real section?
Quick question - how much time should I leave to review LR questions within a section - I've recently gotten quick enough to leave 4-6 minutes to go back over a section; part of that is through picking an answer choice, without 100% certainty, and moving onto the next question.... I have a hard time, mental barrier really, plain old skipping LR questions - I have been able to do that within LG sections and sometimes RC - but not LR. Just curious if anyone else has a similar approach and generally how much time to leave left over for review before time is up? Also, I had a strategy to leave around 10 minutes for the last 5 questions of a section - I've recently succeeded in getting quicker - a positive, that is over only 5 LR sections that I've done recently - so hopefully it carries over to the July LSAT. Sorry for the ramble!
IDK about other people - but completing 2 RC sections is a BEAST....
After the first one - you're kind of relieved, but then hopes are dashed when the 2nd one pops up (and that section happens to be the REAL section)....
Anyone agree or is it really a pick your poison kind of thing?
As a departing veteran - my captain or senior in rank wrote work evals on myself that distinguished my performance against peers on a ship / unit and against the Navy as a whole - shall I include those write-ups somehow in my admissions package? Additional materials mailed to the law school?
Was wondering if 7Sage thought about the ability for 7Sagers to download the lesson videos and watch them without the lifeline of internet connection? The only reason (sufficient condition LOL) I ask is because I'll be without solid internet access for 7 months while deployed and would like to still go over lessons during down time. Any thoughts or has this been considered / implemented?
The digital also provides the time on the tablet, right? That makes it immsensely easier!
Can anyone talk about a logical equivalency to this phrase? Not "IF", but is it equivalent to "only if"? Or how should I interpret this phrase in LR questions - I've come across it a few times in the late 60s tests.
What is the trigger to use a chart versus the standard grouping construct?

you will NOT get your score immediately after. i said you will be able to cancel your score within 5 days of seeing it. LSAC said that because of the transition to digital, we will need to wait longer than the typical 3 weeks to get our score - this is for everyone, regardless of the format
But if the test is digital, the test-taker should see the scores immediately after finishing the test (presumably on the tablet screen)..... Sorry for the additional questions
Perhaps in future administration this will be the case...but the test being digital doesn't necessarily mean the score needs to be accessible immediately after.
Not everyone is getting a digital test in July. It would be unfair that some people will see their scores immediately and some won't. On LSAC's website, they wrote "TBA" as the scheduled date for the score release in July.
Got it - yup your explanation makes more sense; thank you!
I just don't see how Dinosaurs and Crocs are similar to make the conclusion work - got it right, but the argument still seems really, really weak.
