Hi! Does anyone know what is the best way to drill for correlation and causation questions? I am having a really hard time grasping that concept even after going through the core curriculum. I need more practice. If you know of a list of prep test questions about causation and correlation OR if you have any suggestions for drills please let me know!

@ Literally the last statement you made is my issue! I struggle to identify that a given stimulus includes CC logic. What worked for you? I did the core curriculum for that but when I do questions on my own I just dont get that its CC in midst of all the jargon. So, I feel like I need more practice on specifically the questions that have those logic.
Hi @ thanks for this motivating post, can you please say a bit more about the speed and skipping strategy in LR that you heard in one of JY's podcasts? How did it change your strategy from before?
I have a few questions on the RC section
Is it a good use of time to full proof all the "hardest" LG questions from the question bank or is that just a waste of time? I am taking the exam in January and I want to feel comfortable doing the hard one in a short time. Any suggestions?
Hello! I am having trouble with when to chain statements and when to not. I am doing PT61.S4.Q25
Stimulus: There can be no individual freedom without the rule of law, for there is no individual freedom without social integrity, and pursuing the good life is not possible without social integrity.
My question:
Do I chain the first two statements? or are they separate and cannot be chained?
A) Individual Freedom ---> Rule of Law ---> Social Integrity
OR
B)
Individual Freedom ---> Rule of Law
Individual Freedom ---> Social Integrity
How do you know when it should be chained vs when it should be individual?

I am interested and I have the same questions as @ Thank you for hosting this
Does anyone know if taking the LSAT is better than getting the GRE for admissions and scholarships? Or does it not matter? If you are trying to go for PhD/JD is it better to just take the GRE and apply or should you also take the LSAT?
Hello, I need to print out some problem sets since I can't always stare at a screen. I don't have my own printer so I have to send the PDF to the central printer in my apartment building. But the printer says it won't print until I decrypt the document. When I use the password, I have to access the PDF, it doesn't decrypt the file or take away the security of the document. Does anyone know what I can do to decrypt or how can I print when it is password protected?
I have sent a message to the student services and waiting for their response, but if anyone has a quick suggestion, please let me know.
Thank you!
Does anyone have a good explanation for how to differentiate between the question stem for the following LR topics:
I tend to confuse the question stems a lot for these categories, anyone have an advice on how I can stop making this mistake?
Thank you!
Hello! I am taking the exam in January, might also retake it in February. I am looking to start a small study group with people who are seriously interested in diving deep and dissecting LR stimuluses. I have noticed that analyzing LR stimulus helps me see the LR structure that repeats on every LSAT test. If you are serious about it please message me individually. Suggestions on how to approach this LR analysis are also appreciated.
The struggle is real. I feel this post in a personal level lol
Thank you so much @ @ @ @.i.rivas These were all very helpful information. I will utilize them and see if they work for me. But truly thank you so much for all the support.
Hi @ Thank you for your honesty. I am writing the notes down on paper, but you are right about outlining them on my computer so I can access it anytime. Did you have any strategy for improving on the reading comprehension?
Hi! This is obviously a long shot, but my scores are in the 140s right now and I am trying to get to at least the low to mid 160s. I have finished most of the core curriculum at 7sage, have been drilling in the 5lbs manhattan book, went through the powerscore bible and the Loophole by Ellen Cassidy but I am seeing very slow improvements. I started about 1.5 months ago and have been studying 10-14 hours a day while looking for jobs and also working a part-time job. This pandemic has also brought a lot of stressors into my life, so I am not in the best state of mind and am having trouble retaining information. Also, not seeing any improvements on my LSAT is definitely adding to my stress. I am taking the test in November but will definitely retake it in January. Anyone with a study schedule or strategy that has helped them make big improvements in their score please let me know what worked for you. I am open to trying new tactics as my old ones are not working.
Wow I feel dumb for not thinking about it the other way which is if m -->/k is not the same as /k --> m that's illegal reversal. Thank you!
Hi, I have two questions which might have one simple answer.
Can someone please explain to me why I shouldn't do a biconditional every time it says if m, not k (m --> /k). I mean the contrapositive would be if k, not m (k --> /m). So why not write it as m (---) /k ?
How does biconditional affect the rule of "if Sufficient condition not satisfied rule goes away and if necessary condition satisfied rule goes away"? when there is "m (---) /k" and the question says "not k" then the rule goes away?
If you went from 127 to a 150 with ADHD in 7 months then you are determined af! Keep at it, try to get accommodations if you can or give yourself more time to study and push your test date back if you are not in a rush to start law school. This exam is a difficult test that puts SOOO many people at a disadvantage, please dont compare yourselves to others. (Also, dont listen to some people here who are telling you law isnt the field for you) I have a masters and worked with tons of lawyers and you need people in this field who are determined and understanding like you are. Your struggles will make you an exceptional lawyer because you will understand other people's struggles and that is really important to being a good lawyer.
Does anyone know what type of game showed up in the LG section for today's exam?
Hi! I am confused when I should chain the conditional statements to make inferences and when I shouldn't in the In/Out games. I noticed that when JY explains the games where each of them connects in some way, sometimes he chains them and then makes inferences, and sometimes he doesn't. So I am not sure when I SHOULD NOT chain? If the conditions connect to each other in a chain then why is he not doing it in some while doing it in others? Also, I have been chaining the games whenever I can because that helps me make inferences, sometimes that helps me get the answers right, sometimes it doesnt. So I am not sure what I should do.
Hello, in the RC section I struggle a lot with finding the main point of the passage. Does anyone have any strategy for how to quickly figure out the main point of a RC passage?
Following, I would like to hear some advice on this too!
Thank you so much @ This is really helpful!!
