I think E strengthens but not nearly as much as AC B. The question is which "most strengthens". Also, there is usually some hint in the wording that is a little off base for wrong answer choices and I think "many of the biggest" (could be many of the the 1% of mansions) should be a tip off as not very aligned with "bigger houses" which is what the argument is about.
Making the problem disappear doesn't seem to = only means of solving it. That's why I found E more to be more attractive...
I took a pt every day of the week of my test and the day of. I did it mostly in order to decrease anxiety around the actual test by having just taken a full one earlier in the day
I chose D but on second thought the word "widespread" is clearly aligned with AC E.
Did anyone else choose E for Q18 bc "strengthens the institutional legitimacy of the courts" in paragraph 1 seems to necessarily imply that people would notice the presence and/or absence of judicial candor?
I feel like this answer strengthens the conclusion but ultimately weakens the actual argument which is comprised of only the hypothesized explanation as premise -> conclusion about tree snakes.
This is one of the worst LR questions I've come across...
It seems that the bottom line here is that we shouldn't take for granted that "not adversely affecting wildlife" = "increased population of wildlife".
I was looking for arguments that strengthen the premise that wildlife in fact increased (and found A and C attractive) but the question was looking for an argument that strengthens the link between premise and conclusion.
I don't love this question at all but sometimes it helps me when stuck on these to think "what would a middle schooler answer?"... more often than not I've found the simpler and more intuitive answer the correct one and overthinking the cause of mistakes.
I don't get what the argument would be if E is incorrect?
There is no premise without the conception of virtue as it relates to overcoming a desire.
I get why B is attractive and E not so bc of the word "although" but I'm not sure how the argument stands without that line... #help (Added by admin)
