So I took the J07 test as recommended and I got a 141/156 BR. Yikes.... I feel like trash...Clearly, I have sooo much work to do. I am aiming for the high 160s/170 would be a dream come true. I guess I am curious to know how others have done on their diagnostic?

@sheridjw14 First of all! Congrats on that November score. You will def crack that 165 in Jan! Really appreciate the feedback, it gives me hope :)
@sheridjw14 thanks for the feedback, I cant wait to see some gains like you! We got this.
@dutchiebrown992 171!!! Wow, congrats! I have been noticing a lot of advice on understanding that this is a learnable test and that really does help going into this prep journey. I def plan on studying how ever long is needed.
I am interested!
Totally down to do this!
This is such valuable content!!! Thanks so much, have been watching your journey from the beginning!!!
I am interested as well, I recently started over as well!
Definitely doing this now!! thanks!
Hey! I just finished that section as well. I believe “wherever” is considered a Sufficiency indicator.
Hey! I’m interested, where are you in the CC?
I usually take screen shots from the "quick view" option for the problem set questions I want to revisit and put them in a word doc. It has been working for me pretty well.
I'm in!!! @nlkhamis275 the WhatsApp group would prob be the best way for us to it.
@simonchin808 Thank you so much for this valuable post! I also plan on learning to tough type efficiently for 0L prep. Do you mind sharing your practices/ any websites or tools that you utilized in order to grasp it well? Thank you again!
Yes this is awesome! Thank you for the post!
@figueroa10040 Yeah I was thinking of GoToMeeting but I am not experienced with the admin side of it. Is that something you could spearhead?
So have a pretty good group already getting through the CC for the Nov/ Jan test. I know it's a bit premature to start BR. Perhaps we can start in August. But do you guys feel like a CC call would be beneficial. We can discuss where we all are, some of our weak areas, study technique/time management, etc? @vrendonvasquez562 @52240 @cdaddario2318 @mrosa1210177 @svmirto905 @lsachun20354 @bailleybd2929 @figueroa10040 @36829 @jkjohnson1991823 @sadafhasan529746 @svmirto905 @jimmyrivera201123 @yvonne890330264 @nikitamunjal950 @anmul1996949 @marievaldez22151 @ashleighkong22327 @1655 @alyssamccain0593780 @gaflparalegal732 @gaflparalegal732 @vxsinha96118 @chenoabailey93611 @cvega2013775-1
Yes, Im shooting to be done by the end of July as well. Really doing my best to move through and stay on it! Im at about 70% as well.
Awesome to see some Nov/Jan peeps! @yvonne890330264 @jimmyrivera201123 @36829 @svmirto905 @figueroa10040 @sadafhasan529746 @jkjohnson1991823 @cdaddario2318 I started this thread to see if a BR group had been formed but it looks like there is not one yet. All of us are may still working through CC. Any idea of when you will have CC completed? We should prob get a BR group started end of July. If we wanna connect via skype as people move through the CC, that may be helpful for some too.
@artalayis927 Yes I would be happy to discuss thoughts! Here is the link to the webinar, you may find it useful. https://classic.7sage.com/webinar/weaken-strengthen/
Hey! @artalayis927 For me, I always always try to prephase for just about every question type and its a skill in of itself that I continue to work on. With weakening questions, a lot of the answers will seem attractive based off our real-world knowledge or they sound like the address the argument. However when I prephase, I really hone in on that idea of the support structure that is operating between the premise and conclusion. If I can identify that logical leap or "the beam" as JY explained it, the answer choices are much easier to eliminate, and I just go into the ACs anticipating the correct one. There is a great webinar by Nicole Hopkins on the Webinar Videos tab that provides some really great strategies for weakening and strengthening. She discusses causation questions in depth as well. I find the webinars helpful to watch after going over a particular part of the CC that was really challenging.
I'm having a pretty tough time with NA questions right now, definitely seems like my Achilles heel of all the question types. Really going to devote this weekend to getting those down.
The grammar here is so critical to this question.
I have to agree with @hejazifariba929 on the social media diet. This may not even apply to you, but if it does, then please consider it. It's not like I was an IG celeb or anything so I had no vested interest in it, but the time I would waste scrolling through TLs I could have been have putting that towards my improvement. Also, the mental clutter social media creates can be counter-productive when putting your best attention towards studying. I've replaced the social media with podcasts and that has been a great addition to my daily routine. Usually in the car while driving, or just some random moment I listen and they don't have to be LSAT related. Although I do listen to one that is called "Thinking LSAT" and a lot of personal development/motivational ones like Oprah's Supersoul Conversations, The Tim Ferris Show, and TD Jakes.
Hi! @gaflparalegal732 This CC was a game changer for me. I too, had tried to self study with recommended books, this was after I tried an in-person course at the University but neither really gave me the understanding required for this test. I came across 7sage, and after watching JY's videos I found myself fully understanding concepts that I could never grasp. That was it, I purchased the Ultimate package, and I plan on upgrading to Ultimate+ later. I am about 60% done with CC and although not confident on anything, I can honestly say I understand it all now! Also the supplemental quizzes and problem sets have been so valuable with reinforcing concepts. The CC in general is laid out in a very strategic way. Everything builds on one another, so in a way it holds you accountable to making sure you're ready to move on.
In short, make the purchase! You won't regret it. Are you planning on sitting in January?
@tristandesinor505 thanks for that metaphor, definitely puts it into perspective for me! @tristandesinor505 that timeline is good to know, I'm in month 3 now so i will just keep pushing!!
Hi everyone! I just would like some feedback on your experience in working through the CC. So I am about 50% of the way through the CC right now and it is definitely not moving as fast as I would have liked but I'm holding on to the idea of "slow and steady wins the race." With that being said, as I cover new topics, some of the earlier concepts that may not be directly relevant to the section I'm on (ie invalid/valid argument forms/ lawgic-specific rules, etc), are not as easy to remember quickly. Then I start to freak out and wonder since I am not recalling things as quickly, I need to step back. Also, to note I'm not just moving swiftly without having a good understanding of what I just learned, it's more so that sometimes it will take a whole week to get through one section (ie Flaw question type with corresponding 20+ problem sets) , and will have me feeling like what I covered earlier in the CC is becoming foggy. I guess what I want to know, is this a common feeling? Did you guys implement any strategies to keep the older CC top of mind? Did you begin your studying with a basic review, or something? Also, how long did it take you to complete the CC, and how did your first PT post CC go?
@tl92420280 Hi there ! First off, thank you so much for this session. Just curious, should we come to the session with the questions completed already?
