Out of curiousity, how did you two see the difficulty of the exam?

Is anyone else having trouble chopping down your statements? Or have advice on how I can?

Picking a topic, figuring out what to say, and all other facets has been exhausting and excruciating. I finally have something down and it is much too long (a little more than 2 full pages before being double-spaced). I have FOCO (fear of cutting out something that might be great).

I dont have android but on my iphone this sometimes appears to be an issue. I realized however, that if you just ckick on the space that looks blank, it opens a separate window abd starts playing.

Good luck!

Ah!!! This may sound crazy, but I'm sooo happy to read this! I also took it today (in China) and feel the exact same way about the unexpected difficulty of todays's exam!!

So. Down to business.

I have confirmed that our first LG section was the experimental that won't count. (The one with beer bottles, grooming and training, etc.) I confirmed this because even though it seems that we definitely had a different exam from those that took it in US a couple weeks ago, we had the SAME experimental section. I recognized the keywords in the posts about their exam for just the experimental section, but none of the other sections and that would make sense since LSAC is very cautious about makinf sure there's no advantage to those that take the test on different days (so I wasnt expecting the same exam).

Given this alone, I wouldn't cancel. I reckon/hope that your score might actually surprise you. Though there seems to only be 2 of us on here so far, this is not my first time taking the LSAT and I had done all of the most recent PTs. I know that on test day, nerves can be a factor, but I felt this exam was significantly tougher than all the ones I've taken so far. I do sometimes have issues with time but lately I had improved. Despite that, today I ran out of time and had to guess on an entire RC passage, and an entire LG game, plus 2-3 questions from another game. Like you, I felt the LR was unremarkable--hard to tell. Given that we both kind of shared the same experience, there's hope that it was just a tough exam and there will be generous curve. If this is the case, maybe we both did better than we hoped! I've got my fingers crossed for this option.

In addition, most (in not, all) law schools just take your top score now and if you do get the score you're looking for then they won't care. Though, it's true that we unfortunately won't get a full break down of the test and see what we got right/wrong, I don't really see any advantage to cancelling your score. But I see, a glimmer of hope that maybe you didnt do as bad as you thought. I felt the same, but I'm erring on the side of hope and waiting to see what the outcome may be.

I'm really relieved to see your post! I was borderline depressed after leaving and had given up hope on finding anyone to commiserate with! Good luck! Happy to compare notes further if you like! Here's hoping for a strong curve on mid-160s score ?.

Hey Gary, it may not be the same deal for everyone, but it is possible for your test date and test center change. The original acceptance letter states this. I'm waiting to find out about this and am pretty nervous myself.

Regarding the different courses, Starter pack has access for up to 3 months. If you have 3 months total to study, how long does the curriculum actually take to tackle? If you have between 15-20 hours per week to study? If you only have 3 months to study, is there enough time to take the course and then do PTs? [Please, no answers with how come I have 3 months. I've already been studying for 2 years on and off, taken 2 different courses, etc. I know the mistakes I made in my studying before (which was studying wrong and inconsistently), now i'm very committed to taking the June test. If it becomes impossible, then I will consider delaying.--Apologies for the preemptive rant. I just get super defensive about other people's suggestions on timings (move back or take now; hurry or slow down) since it's a super personal decisions and I've come to learn that only you really know when it's your time. ]

But my biggest issue is very much timing. I BR at 178-180, but can only seem to PT between 160-161. 163 and 165 on lucky days.

Help, please? I just want to sign up for a course and gooo. See what I've been missing or at least have a guide to follow and keep to it as I continue to study and try to figure out how to move faster through the test while maintaining my accuracy.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Valid/Invalid shortcut

I've studied the valid/invalid arguments and though it's almost down, I sometimes still have mix-ups. I'm wondering if it's a good steadfast rule that, most and some only allow you to draw valid inferences if they occur first, then all the relationships following are "all" relationships?

ex. A some B ---> C

Is this a rule that works every time? If so, are there any other simplified one liners to help internalize?

Thanks all!

@ I was very nervous and anxious about the process and didn't want to take any chances at all. Not only did I make sure that my doctor included my test results and explain the impact of the diagnosis, not just stating the diagnosis, I also sent the doctor the definition and exact words from the ADA and the directions from LSAC. I would recommend stressing to your doctor what's really at risk. I don't know if it helped, but I had my doctor state plainly the impact and symptoms of my diagnoses. I also had letters from different doctors, but I know that's not always possible for everyone. Good luck!

Hey, I did. A couple of 7Sagers were really helpful to me during the process so I'm happy to pay it forward. Whats up? Also, the link posted above is where I started/got advice.

Hey! I am! I'm taking it in southern china though. It was actually not as hard or difficult as I imagined. If you google the name of the uni, you can usually get a chinese address or just use your normal apple or google maps to see where you can stay. I would advise a taxi about 90-60 minutes before test time just to be safe and comfortable or even check out the place the day before. Good luck!! Happy to see someone else is in the same boat!

I would say its always worth trying and just give it your all, because if you get it, it could make a hugeeee difference for you. Also, dont be afraid to appeal if necessary.

Any recommendations if I'm planning to take the June (China date, which is June 25th), but I haven't PT'd in a while since I went back to fundamentals. Was planning to start PT'ing now anyway, and obviously was going to take PT80 before test day, but I maybe wouldn't have done it first. Any suggestions? Are there disadvantages to taking that as opposed to another PT 70s, if I plan to take it within the next 6 weeks preceding the exam anyway?

(Of course, even with my VPN, my web connection might foil my BR plans anyway, but thats an entirely different issue altogether).

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Hey @ I'm interested, been studying, and taking June! Could you tag me please? When is the review for PT80? I'm thinking I'll miss 79 with the time difference (to China) today.

@ said:

I just called the LSAC and the guy said the last "event" they had on my file was printing my admission ticket. There's nothing else there showing that I took the test. This is unreal.

Pretty strange. My center lost my admission ticket but I got an email from LSAC asking me to fill out a form about missing admission tickets. Super sorry to hear that!

does anyone know if the application status tracker updates daily for everyone? Also, does anyone know where everyone from TLS is moving the conversation?

Confirm action

Are you sure?
