Although Gracelover solidly explained why it is D as opposed to B, I am still slightly unclear as to why D is the correct answer. Is there anyone else who could take a shot at explaining it further?

I thought the assumption that the tankers needed to be repaired/replaced was necessary because, if negated, the tankers do not need to be repaired, which means there is no ground for the government or oil industry to act on anything... which in my head wrecked the argument.
Can someone let me know where I went wrong and why everyone is making C seem so irrelevant?
I noticed here that J.Y. pays special attention to words like "can" and other theoretical language in the AC's, then almost flippantly rejects the AC because of such language. haha
Just wondering, has anyone interacted with an AC (within the context of parallel questions like this one) that correctly uses theoretical language to parallel the stimulus (when there is no theoretical language in the stimulus)?
Yes! I was thinking the same thing as I narrowed my AC's to A and E. I chose E because no where in the stimulus did it inform us that the three jobs listed were important. For example, what if scrubbing down the jets or leading another department were the important jobs?
I liked how E defined the specific job (commanding a missile wing) that was detailed in the stimulus...
Can someone please provide an alternate explanation as to why it is not E?

During this question, I narrowed my ACs to A or B.
I initially incorrectly chose B because I thought that in B's case, when it stated "The pursuit of paradise justifies fanaticism" we could treat the Q people who were not initially fanatics as if they were behaving like fanatics.
In other words, I thought answer B precisely used the word fanaticism to capture a type of behavior. Thus, the pursuit of paradise justifies why even ordinary people can act fanatically and become killers.
During BR, I chose C because I thought it was more "relevant" to the argument, but I am still confused about B and would like some clarification, if possible. Can someone help me out por favor?

I died when J.Y. sighed while saying, "wow" after C's explanation. This man is pure comedy.
I just thought that the first sentence displayed that the astronomers primarily thought that Neptune's orbit was irregular. Then, from the second sentence I gathered, because Neptune was not being affected by the gravitational pull of Pluto as they had previously thought, we can "sum up" the paragraph to conclude that (B) "the orbit of Neptune is considerably more irregular than they thought it was." Where did I go wrong?
