I understand how C is wrong but don't understand how D is correct. #help

My timing SUCKS (30 minutes for 2 passages) but I got 11/13 correct. (: #smallwin

Getting these answers wrong the first time, then redeeming myself during BR. dont know how to feel about that

#help, I also need to know when it is a good time to stop reading answers if i believe the one I slected is correct. due to reading the other answers, it took me an extra minute to submit.

got the correct answer but my timing is off. any tips on how to cut down on timing? this took me too long to answer.
