Unfortunately I still believe that LSAT is not a real indicator of how well you will do in law school. I have been a paralegal for over four years and pretty much have been doing the work of an attorney during this time. I am just a poor test taker - always have been. I have a 3.7 GPA and am lucky if I get over 150 on LSAT even though I BR at above 160. I know I will make a good lawyer and I don't need a high LSAT score to prove that.

That is an interesting point. I never experienced taking the test before so i never calculated for adrenaline. I know my biggest weakness is me psyching myself out. I will do a complete BR tomorrow. Up until now I only marked which ones I got wrong (but didn't look the correct answer) and redid only those problems so see if I was right the second time around.

Endurance

I am planning to take the Oct. test and using this month to work on endurance. I find it difficult to stay focus for the duration of the test which I am sure effects my overall score. I read somewhere that to help endurance you take two PT back to back. I have been taking two PT back to back with 15 minute breaks between them but at the end of the first PT and at points during the second I get unfocused or tired. For example today the first PT I got a 153 (personal best) and the second I got a 144 (personal worst). I don't know if this way is working and I don't want to waste a good PT on the second test so was thinking about using a new PT for only first best and old PT for second test. How do you guys stay focused and increase endurance?

@ yeah my goal is to be a lawyer in family law and to start my own firm. So I get a double the negativity regarding wanting to start a law firm out of law school. But this is the best move for me and my family. And I am excited for the challenges that are ahead of me.

I have this same issue. But practicing has helped me a lot. I use an LSAT proctor app for every time test so I can simulate the test day. When I find my mind wonder I take one deep breath and tell myself to "focus." Also for the LG if I read the stimulus and don't get it after the second time reading it I just guess and move on because it will be better later to answer more questions. For the RC after I read the passage I find it helpful to not jump to the questions right away. Thinking about what you have read and understanding the flow and the viewpoints first will make answering the questions a lot easier and faster.

I have been a paralegal for four years and most of the lawyers I have been around has told me the same: Do not go to law school. This was the worst mistake of my life. If I knew what I know now I would never have done it. (Note the lawyers I spoke to were practicing personal injury and family law) I work in family law now and I see the bad, the ugly, the frustrating, the ungrateful, and sometimes the good. But to be honest I love all of it. But family law in particular is an area of law that either you love or you don't.

So long rant -- well long I'm sorry -- law is not for everyone that is true but there is so many of areas of law and so many different types of lawyers so odds are you will find an area that you like. And there is even more opportunities you have with a JD degree that does not have to necessarily have to deal with being a lawyer so law school in and of itself I don't believe will be a waste. Just do what makes you happy and at the end of the day I would rather me telling myself I wish I never went to law school than I wish that I had.

I don't know if this will help. But I continue to make photocopies. I have a binder. It has one clean version on the PT so I will also have one then I makes copies of the test when I time, when I BR, and when I review sections. I put those versions in the binder behind the clean version and then I make note to see which one I always get wrong and which one I improved on.

@ I completely agree. If there was no time pressure I don't believe the game would have been that difficult.

I used the 180 watch for this test. And it was good but the sections were back to back with no pause (I heard from someone that there should be a 5min break between sections) so there were times that I didn't have the time to restart it. But overall I think it is worth it if you find a good price.

Thank you everyone! I think I will take everyones advice. I will see how I will do on the October. And if it is not good I will look at the packages. I have been a paralegal for four years so I will continue with this job and study really hard to increase my score as much as I can.

Is Febrary too late??

i just took October LSAT and I have no idea what happened. I found 7sage to late in the game so didn't have time to use a course. Is it bad to take Febrary LSAT? Will this give me enough time? I am only scoring around 151 so do I need more time. and take another year to study. (I am 25 -26 in February. - so is that too old to wait another year?) --sorry freaking out a little

This is my first time taking the test and after it I left numb. For me the hardest section was reading comp. I felt like every passage was difficult to grasp but maybe because it was section one. The logic games I think i did good on (all except the shift game. And the LR I honestly don't know how I did. So I am nervous. But if I do bad is it ok to retake in February.
