For Q17, I got it right by POE, but looking back, what makes it the right answer is this sentence in passage B, "But the texts most central to a genre are those texts that were clearly written to exploit a particular protocol," which means that is a text does not align itself with certain reading protocol enough, it would be less central (and thus making a borderline case).

For Q19, I got it wrong in the BR because I paid too much attention to Borges' view, but what is important is the principle underlined in passage B. PB basically argues that a reading protocol, which is comprised of rhetorical figures, defines what genre certain text belongs to. E is wrong because PB argues,"We are free to read any text by any reading protocol we wish," which suggests that reading protocols are fixed, but readers are free to use them on any text. Applying this principle to PA, it would mean that Poe created the reading protocol of detective fiction, which could be applied by readers to any narrative. But it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with this reading protocol.

Hi, sorry that I couldn't find it anywhere, but could anyone please remind me which PTs are used as examples in V2? Just try to skip them in practice. * #help (Added by admin) *

#help Could anyone please help explain for question 9.3, how is the premise supporting the conclusion? I thought it is just a change of situation.

I think for 24(E), it is wrong because although the author tries to explain why the front-to-back theory has been successful in the public, he/she thinks it is because this explanation seems "natural" but not because of some theoretical support. The author explicitly says it is based on false premise and scientists' wrong motivations to separate the observer from the phenomenon. E is wrong because there is no "theoretical support".

#help For Question 11, I easily got rid of BCE, but between A and D, I don't like the word "sympathize" in A but I don't like the wording of D. If the word used in A is not "sympathy" but "empathy" would it make A a better answer than D? Since D doesn't explicitly say that what is common in both cultures are similarities between women's experiences?

Hi, I just signed up to take the September LSAT in the test center and found that it is the same room where I took my CFA exam. So, from that experience, scratch paper and pencils are provided, and it is a room equipped with computers (exactly as indicated by the LSAC FAQ).

And I just found this "Candidates who test in a center will be provided three (3) blank, unlined scratch paper booklets. Each booklet contains two pages. You will also be provided two (2) pencils.

Candidates who test in a center are not permitted to bring their own scratch paper or writing instruments."under the Question"If I’m testing at a center, what kind of scratch paper am I provided?"

So, we are actually not allowed to bring our own.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
