got it right but it took me like 20 minutes and it made me want to cri

the reason i did not choose D was because the answer choice said "some of the students were affected" but in the stimulus it is worded to insinuate that "every" student was affected. Is this a common trick used by lsat writers? How do i improve my way of thinking?
