#help

How do you translate this sentence into lawgic?

"Maximum utility is assured only in a pure free market economy"

only is a group 2 lawgic indicator, which indicates necessary assumption.

so is it Maximum utility → Pure free market economy?

but the word "assured" makes me think that Maximum Utility is a necessary condition for pure free market economy.

then it should be Pure free market economy → Maximum utility?

Can someone please help?

I had a lot of trouble understanding what "free installation" means......

Didn't expect it to mean some one will install it for you for free...

I am confused here. In, Passage B Paragraph 2, isn't Newton's law a "auxiliary assumption"? An example of "other theories" mentioned in line 24 ?

Suppose the first censor received x manuscripts and second censor received y manuscripts

The first censor didn't approve 50%, then he/she approved 50% of the manuscripts. So the number of manuscripts approved by the first censor is 0.5x.

The second censor didn't approve 25%, then he/she approved 75% of the manuscripts. So the number of manuscripts approved by the second censor is 0.75y.

Then we have the equation 0.5x = 0.75y, which gives us x/y = 0.75/0.5 > 1. So there are more x then y, meaning the first censor received more manuscripts then the second censor did.

#help I am still confused on why A is incorrect for problem 9.

I get that it says "paragraphs" which is a very subtle point. Anything besides this?

I thought both the stim and E are flawed because they both assumed the "limit" only has an upper limit and not a lower one.

For example, to be within the "cost limit" the cost should be below a certain bar and also above a certain bar. i.e if the "cost limit" is $1000 do $5000, and QI costs 2000. QI is within the limit. If Corelink costs 800, which is still lower than QI, it doesn't necessary meet the limit.

Same for the "low fat" standard. A "low fat standard" is probably 1% to 2% fat. If a cheese is below 1%, then it will be categorized in to "non-fat" cheese, rather than "low fat".

So the thing here is that both stim and E are assuming there's no lower limit.
